I have always wanted to draw/paint portraits. As a teenager, my parents let me join one of those mail-in art courses. I did not do well and dropped it shortly after starting. Then life happened. I got married, had a son then divorced. Eight years later I remarried and had another son. Working as a hairdresser, raising my boys and caring for my husband left no time for art.
Until 2016 when I decided it was my turn. I began to watch videos and found that God had seemingly blessed me with a talent only He knew I had. I’ve done many dog portraits and have worked my way to people portraits. I enjoy all mediums but tend to lean toward graphite and pastel pencils. Much of my work is gifted to friends and family.
