Pamela Gail Koch Potter, was born in California and moved all over the US, she was a Navy Brat. Dabbled with her Art all through school. In the 10 grade entered a drawing for the Navy Base's Telephone Building's Window display and won. She painted her Display and received $500 and a write up in the Navy Times. She Married a Navy man, Had two Sons. Got Divorced and Went to College for 2 years. She moved to Texas and went to work for her new stepdad building custom homes. She always painting on the side. Later when her boys were grown, She missed being a mom and became a foster mom to 49 Kids over a 10-year span. She taught art classes to adults and kids 10 to 15 years old.
Painted a Picture of Oprah Winfrey in April 1998 and sent it to her. May of that year Oprah Held it up on her show saying her favorite picture of her and her two dogs was done by a Little gal in Texas. She was looking for a layering technic to improve her artwork when she came across Matt Philleo painting a picture of his wife. She followed him and started learning how it was done. She Really learned a lot from Matt Philleo she said he took the time to explain his technic and made it so much easier to do. And how Grateful she is that she won the best Gift for Christmas When Mary Power Dunphy offered a few classes that were split between several of the lucky winners. And now when she paints a portrait it never ceases to amaze her how the picture becomes life like before your eyes. She feels she owes the improvements to Matt Philleo and Mary Power Dunphy. For their Generosity and Friendship along with many of the others that Follow Matt Philleo. She feels He is the best instructor she has ever encountered
