Emily Bolton

As long as I can remember I have always loved drawing people. My mother was very artistic and taught me how to draw at a young age. In my youth I was accepted into a summer arts program where I learned more about sculpting people and pottery. The other summers I worked at the local Rowantrees Pottery. I took many private lessons in pastel portraiture. I received all first place at local fairs and showed at art festivals. I'm an award winning artist now and get continued recognition from Faso and Fineartviews. I learned to paint portraits in acrylic from Matt Philleo.  I'm a lifetime member of his Realistic Acrylic Portrait School. I'm also a lifetime member of Acrylic University. Prior to painting I mainly did pencil and charcoal portraits commissioned throughout the U.S. and some from U.K. and Canada.

I live on the beautiful coast in Brooklin, Maine where I paint from home. I specialize in pencil and acrylic but I dabble in other mediums as well, such as color pencil and oils.
