Debra St John Bodi

My name is Debra Ann St. John Bodi.
As a young girl, I loved to draw and challenge my artistic abilities.  My first drawings were from the books of James Audobon. I loved to draw from the photos of his wildlife animals.

I shared my love of art with my very talented mother, who taught me how to use Oil paints and Acrylic paints.  Together, we participated in the Oregon Art Club in Oregon, Ohio until raising a family of my own took precedence over that endeavor.
I still dabbled in art now and then but didn't really apply myself until Covid hit in 2019/2020 and the need to find something positive during those times had me picking up a brush once again.
I had lost my mom back in 2013 but with the internet,
Facebook and Matt Philleo's Realistic Acrylic Portraits, I found a whole slew of fellow artists to paint with and learn from.
I am a full time employee at the local schools with 5 kids, and 9 grandkids but still find time now and then to paint commissions.
