Peggy Hagler

Peggy Hagler is an Amateur Hobby Artist from Alabama. After retiring from a Nursing Career she decided to pursue her passion for art. Since credits her progress in painting to finding Matt Philleo and his Realistic Acrylic Portrait School in 2020. “Growing up, I was always drawn to art.

I always wanted to be an Artist. While searching YouTube Art tutorials I found Matt and when I saw that he prayed before each lesson, I knew I had found the right instructor for me, because I saw that he is a Christian Leader. Through Matt’s instruction I finally learned how to get a good drawing, which is the foundation for my paintings”.

Although she paints landscapes, florals and other subjects, Portraits are Peggy’s passion. “I love trying to capture personality, character and emotion in a portrait.” She accepts commissions but also enjoys painting her family members, historical and iconic photos and studying classic masterpieces.
